4 ways to grow your brand on WhatsApp

If you're starting a new business or you already have a business, then Whatsapp can be a game changer for you. Now I am not talking about sending chain messages or broadcast begging people to buy your product or click a link or some other promotion that may not be of value to your Whatsapp audience. You see, WhatsApp is a very private and personal space for the millennial and you want to ensure you have the permission to engage them or you're just going to be plain annoying. When people find value from your brand and understand the reason why you do what you do, then your brand becomes more powerful and it will grow. Here are 4 ways you can grow your brand on Whatsapp.

1) Download  Whatsapp for business, you can actually have two WhatsApp on one phone. Even if its a landline number, you can still use Whatsapp for business on your smartphone with it. This way you can keep up to date with all your clients and potential client's passion. Now I am not talking about stalking them and watching their every move, I am talking about genuinely connecting with them on the issues that matters to them the most that your brand can help to solve.

2) Now, that status update of yours is very powerful. Imagine having access to every client and potential client who sent you a message on Whatsapp. By showing relevant content your audience would love and appreciate will help your brand to be a hero among them. This can be done by championing a social cause that they are passionate about or even just entertaining them with content they love. Clients will want to have your company's Whatsapp number if you're giving them value at their finger tips and its not intrusive. They can chose whether or not they want to view your status, however, if its intriguing enough, then I am sure people will watch it and even tell their friends about it.

3)  Ensure you save every client and prospective client by their name. This is help you to identify clients whenever they call which add a personal touch to your brand, and this will also ensure they are able to see your status if they saved your number. Remember, without saving their number, they may not be able to see your status update which is key to helping your brand to develop.

4) Broadcast -  This one is tricky, seek creative ways to asked your audience for their permission to send them a broadcast. The last thing you want your brand to be remembered for is being annoying. You want to ensure people actually find value in your broadcasts so much so, that they will forward it to their friends. You can even use your status update to ask for permission to send them broadcasts on relevant content.

These technique may be even more powerful than email if you use it correctly, however, "with  great power comes great responsibility". You could even get their email send straight to your WhatsApp with their permission.

Until next time.

Is WhatsApp Marketing EVEN ETHICAL?

WhatsApp is a powerful marketing tool for Young Entrepreneurs. As mentioned in my previous posts, WhatsApp marketing can provide a lot of benefits to your brand, BUT IS IT EVEN ETHICAL?  Well, there are really a few things that will distinguish an unethical WhatsApp marketing campaign vs an ethical one. The morality of it will be based on usage, however there is a fine line between using it in an unethical manner and using it in an ethical manner. I think first, I should put a few terms into context, especially surrounding marketing to millennials. Selective Attention   - The process of focusing on a particular object in the environment for a certain period of time. Attention is a limited resource, so selective attention allows us to tune out unimportant details and focus on what really matters.     http://bit.ly/2KUq9wV Permission Marketing  - The privilege (not the right) of delivering anticipated, personal and relevant messages to people who ac...
